I mentioned earlier that I wasn’t familiar with plastering services. After talking to some friends and searching online, Pat The Plasterer was a name that I frequently encountered.
The website says it’s been in business for over 30 years, and I think the customer reviews speak for themselves.
Even better, I got to experience this top-notch service two days after I called, which is especially fast for plastering services.
I explained that I wasn’t that familiar with plastering services, and I only wanted to get my rough walls a proper coating. Thankfully, Pat’s expert team discussed the best services that suited my needs.
Specifically, I opted for cement plastering, which gave my interior walls a smooth finish. The contractor gave me a competitive fee, not too high but just enough to compensate Pat’s level of quality.
Then, they got to work. They were surprisingly quiet, showing a proper focus on their work. Within the day, my walls got the smooth finish I wanted.
My only gripe with Pat the Plasterer is that I can’t contact him on social media. The staff responded quickly to emails and phone calls, but it would be more convenient if customers had more ways to reach him.

One thing I love about some small businesses is their attention to detail, and Tommy Kavanagh is one of those plasterers in Ireland who deliver!
Me and my family were only familiar with plastering interiors, but we needed that for our outdoor balcony. I looked online for plasterers who serve outdoor areas, and we found Tommy.
We contacted him via phone, and he promptly arrived at our door. He went for a quick consultation and advised us on how we should prepare for the renovation.
He also pointed out that our outdoor coving needed a fix, and he could do it. I wasn’t expecting him can handle that part of the house, but I was pleasantly surprised.
So aside from the plastering job, we also paid him for repairing cornices. I’m glad for the additional expense because our balcony never looked as good as it did after his renovation!
We offered him and his staff some tea and sandwiches for the trouble, and they kindly refused. They told us that they had so many requests, so they can’t stick around for too long.
We chatted with Tommy for a bit and found that he provides more services aside from plastering. For example, he can add a stippled or combed effect on walls to leave a rough finish on walls instead of a smooth one.
Due to the volume of requests, Tommy and his crew can take some time to reply and send quotations.

Joe Kavanagh is one of the best plasterers in Ireland due to his exceptional service. He was always receptive and easy to reach, even during urgent requests and emergencies.
One time, we needed him to work on two of our walls as the plaster was starting to flake off. Fortunately, they got to our place immediately and sorted it out.
He and his staff left a smooth finish and made sure everything was clean afterward.
Whenever he went to our place, he went above and beyond by taking our rooms’ measurements. Then, he got us in touch with other craftsmen for further necessities!
Our neighbors were also raving about Joe Kavanagh. Surprisingly, he follows up on his work to check if the client has any issues.
The other customers were pleased that he called occasionally to suggest ways to maintain his plastering results. Some even said he paid a visit to their homes to make a thorough assessment of the works.
Of course, it was great that Joe Kavanagh offered reasonable prices that matched his exceptional service and attention to detail.
However, one issue we had was that his services were closed on Sundays. That can be an inconvenience, as most people only have the weekends to accommodate renovations.

Irish Plastering is one of those experts that only serve a few areas but deliver great service. When we were still living in Kildare, they were our go-to guys.
Back then, we needed a bedroom redone. Specifically, we needed the walls and ceiling plastered and skim-coated.
The room wasn’t in good condition, and one corner in particular needed a lot of attention. Irish Plastering was well-known in the area, so me and my family called them immediately.
Fortunately, a representative picked up the phone immediately. Within a couple of hours, the plasterers were at our door.
They entered our home and assessed the bedroom themselves. Then, my husband discussed a price quote with them and I liked their suggested price.
They quickly went to work and within a few hours, the room looked so much better. I thought, “I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.”
My husband was especially wary of tradespeople in the area, but he agreed their services were great. They were definitely one of the best plasterers in Ireland!
Later, I looked them up online and found they had a lot of positive reviews. Even better, they served commercial properties, too, so business owners may want to consider them for plastering services.
I would truly appreciate it if they provided services to more locations. At the time of writing, they only served customers in Kildare, Laois, and Dublin.

5. Peter T Carroll & Sons Ltd.
Another plasterer that satisfied our needs was Peter T. Carroll & Sons Ltd.. It’s also a great plus that it’s a family business that has been running for over 50 years.
The plaster in our kitchen walls needed to be replaced, so we had to call someone, pronto. Fortunately, the neighbors immediately called Peter T. Carroll for us.
They said they had been providing quality service for decades, so the company has become locally-acclaimed.
They arrived on time the next day and we explained our issue. In response, we told them we needed to remove some stipples and replace our kitchen wall plaster.
We took some time negotiating the price, but we eventually agreed on a specific amount. I found it very pleasing that Peter T. Carroll & Sons wasn’t picky with their services.
I looked at their work from time to time as I was busy taking care of the kids and found no issues. I thought the walls were properly smoothened and our ceiling got the new layer it deserved.
The next day, we found that the plastering didn’t dry properly, and some sections needed more coating. That’s why we called the company again to resolve the issue.
Thankfully, they immediately went to our home and fixed the issue, but the neighbors said the plasterers sometimes made mistakes.
